Origin and properties: Pressed almond oil is obtained from the ripe, shell-free kernels by pure, mechanical pressing and then filtered. The almond tree is mainly grown in the USA and Europe (mainly Spain).
Use: Sweet almond oil is an anti-irritant, soothing skin oil. It is also used in pharmaceutical preparations and is a fine edible oil.
