Origin and properties: The fatty avocado oil is obtained by purely mechanical pressing from the flesh of the ripe avocado pear. The avocado tree is mainly grown in California, Mexico, South Africa and Israel. The pressed oil is viscous and green in color. It has an odor typical of the species.
