Peach kernel oil, refined
Origin and properties: Peach kernel oil is obtained from the kernels of peaches by mechanical pressing and subsequent refining. It is grown in Europe, the USA, South America and Asia. The light yellow to medium yellow oil has a characteristic smell and taste. Peach kernel oil is highly unsaturated (oleic and linoleic acid) and palmitic acid is also present.
Use: Peach kernel oil is used almost exclusively in skin care cosmetics (soaps, ointments, creams) and in hair cosmetics (shampoos).
