Shea butter, solid

Origin and properties: Shea butter is the fat from the seeds of the shea tree. Shea butter is obtained by pressing selected seeds, boiling with water, skimming off the fatty layer and subsequent gentle refining. It is a highly pure, very oxidation-stable, slightly grayish to white quality with a firm consistency. The shea tree is grown in West Africa.

Use: Shea butter is used as an ointment base. The product can be advantageously integrated into many formulations, e.g. lip care, hand creams, sunscreens, soaps, body lotions, baby care products, etc.
