Origin and properties: This oil is obtained from the seeds of sunflowers by cold pressing. It is a clear, light, golden yellow liquid and has a mild flavor. Sunflowers are grown in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, India, Egypt, Canada and Argentina.
Use: Cold-pressed sunflower oil is an excellent and valuable edible and salad oil. Due to its sensitivity to oxidation, it is less commonly used in cosmetics.
